The school year usually begins in September or October. There is a very long summer vacation, generally about four months.
Grades are usually given on a scale of 0-20. A failing grade is anything below 10.

Foreign students should be aware that teachers are highly respected and not to be challenged. Teachers also do not hang out with their students ot of class. This is to maintain respect.
